Western Bluebird, Los Alamos, New Mexico

Western Bluebirds are very common in our home town of Los Alamos. They arrive in flocks or individually to eat berries and fruits. They also eat worms and insects and can be found patrolling lawns. This is one of the brightest males I've seen and here he is feasting on pyracantha berries. This grumpy looking fellow used to visit us at our old condo Zocalo in Santa Fe where he would perch on the street sign Avenida Celaya:   (Click). I had always want to get a shot of this fellow in flight. Finally with Phototrap, I got a decent shot at warbler pond:   (Click).
