Gorgeous Steller's Jays are common in Los Alamos year round. They are bright blue in any light but really light up if you happen to catch one out in the direct sunlight. They also contrast beautifully with the fall folliage. We don't get many reds in Los Alamos but this guy decided to perch on a Japanese Maple planted in our neighborhood:   (Click).
