This beauty is a hybrid Indigo-Lazuli bunting. Hybrids occur in New Mexico since Indigos have a hard time finding other Indigos since it is at the edge of their range. The hybrids have a mixture of Lazuli and Indigo charactersitics. All Lazulis, even juveniles, should have a strong white wing bar which this hybrid doesn't have.
