A beautiful summer target that can be seen in the Southern Sky. The nebula contains the famous Pillars of Creation and Stellar Spire Stellar nurseries. The RGB picture above was taken by our modified Canon 7D DSLR and 800 mm F4 Astrograph.
The Hubble Palette with HSO gives the beautiful colors NASA uses to how the different elements that make up this emission nebula. This was taken with the ZWO 1600 ASI Pro Mono cooled with Orion 800 mm F4 Astrograph processed with Pixinsight.
I was surprised that we can get quite nice shots of the pillars and spire with our 8 inch telescope.
