Galapagos Penguin, Galapagos

Despite the warm, equatorial climate of the Galapagos, penguins are fairly common. The Humboldt current brings cold water and nutrient rich water making for a very unusual underwater ecosystem. One can see penguins swimming with warm water fish such as parrot fish, spotted eagle rays and sea lions.
