We saw this Great Horned Owl on her nest next to the Milnesand Community Center. The nest was right off the road just 10 feet off the ground. The bottom left of the picture shows a dead rodent that is going to be a meal for junior. Here is junior waking up to eat his meal  (Click)! We also saw these two great horned owl chicks in a large Ponderosa pine at Rocky Mountain National Park. One is looking a lot like their parents but with white feathers whereas the other is curled up into a big ball   (Click). We waited for their impressive mom to arrive but never managed to see her. We also saw this younger chick also at the park:   (Click).
