Black-headed Grosbeak, Los Alamos, New Mexico

A sure sight of spring in Los Alamos is this colorful neotropical migrant. He arrives as the fruit trees come into bloom adding to the beauty. In May 2012, we got a leucistic variation which was also very pretty with its combination of white, oranage, black and yellow:   (Click).
